What is Sky Day?
Sky Days are interdisciplinary celebrations of our climate and sky. A day to create art, do citizen science and learn about how our sky functions. What are our climate’s vulnerabilities? How important it is for us to come together across cultures and borders to protect it for the benefit of all? Hosted by responsible organizations worldwide (list) Sky Days can be held anytime including Sky Day itself (September 20 this year).
SkyDay is a free educational platform with a team of artists, scientists, educators and friends who are united to do the right thing for future generations. SkyDay supports the efforts of Sky Day celebrations around the world. We welcome teachers, parents and students to learn more about sky and climate science and download our free curriculum.
Sky Day Project
Sky Day Project is a citizen artwork for all ages. People post sky photos from all over the world to show they care about our sky and want us to come together to protect it for the benefit of all. It’s free and a great way to make your voice heard while helping SkyDay build an amazing library of sky photos. Upload your sky photo here. If you have a school or group that wants its own Sky Gallery sign up here. You can also post sky photos by tweeting with #SkyDayProject
