What are Sky Days?

I wanted to thank you for helping Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art with our first Sky Day! Guests loved Sky Day and were excited to celebrate. Again, thank you so much for your help in preparing for the day and sharing your amazing resources!
— Quinn Tanner, Museum Educator, Youth and Family Public Programs

What do you do on Sky Days? The Sky Day mission is to connect people to our magnificent sky and climate in creative and positive ways. What you do on your Sky Day can be anything you want it to be from an aesthetic project - like how can you make a photograph or a painting of atmospherics in a visually compelling way? - to express your personal relationship to climate and sky. What does it mean to you? Your artists will also have the option of posting their art to our global citizen artwork called SkyDay Project and you can even have your own free gallery in the project if you like. Everything we offer is free.

When is International Sky Day? Sky Day is September 27th but don’t let the date worry you! We’ll help you tailor your own personal Sky Day for any day that works for you!

How do I get started? Get in touch with us using the form below and we will give you free resources to ensure you and your community have an exciting, educational and inspiring Sky Day event! Check out these past Sky Day hosts!
