SkyDay Fridays
Teachers access to imaginative art+science projects designed to get your K-2, 3-5 and 6-8 graders outside, looking up and connecting to their peers through art!
SkyDay Project
Sky Day Project is an open citizen artwork and portal to learning created by artist Ben Whitehouse. People post sky photos, sky drawings and sky paintings to the global mosaic and create Sky Galleries together as a class or group.
Curriculum
In collaboration with expert NGSS writer Jesse Semeyn and the Center for Educational Initiatives at Illinois State University our first unit on the plight of our native Rusty Patched Bumblebee is now in pilot study at Illinois middle and high schools statewide. Soon it will be available free for midwestern schools everywhere. With versions for both middle and high schools the unit guides students in using science and engineering practices to make sense of the functioning of the Rusty Patched Bumble Bee’s ecosystem.
