Try these Climate Connections for yourself and remember to make your own. All that matters for this step is that you develop your own personal relationship to climate and sky. What ideas do you have? Let us know!
Take Part in SkyDay Project!
Find somewhere you can fully experience our sky each day. Reflect on how it supports life, protects us from the harshness of space and connects us all as one global family. Doesn’t it only stand to reason we should take great care of it for each other? Then:
1. Document your experience by taking sky photos or by making a painting or drawing.
2. Upload your vision to skydayproject.org. It’s easy. Click on the Upload Photos button top right, choose a gallery.
3. Viola! You just showed you care and connected to a growing community of people just like you who want us to come together to protect it for benefit of all.
Take a Sky Walk!
Sometimes the simplest things mean the most. So whether you live in the city or in the country head outside and take a Sky Walk. Is there somewhere near you where you can experience an awesome view of the sky? And while you walk, notice together how every day is a unique symphony of light and atmosphere unfolding right above our heads. Community building tip: Maybe ask friends, family or students to share the experience with you. Does anyone in the group have a meaningful memory of when they once noticed the sky in some special way? Take a moment to reflect on how much we rely on our thin atmosphere functioning naturally every day. Doesn’t it only stand to reason we should take care of it for each other?
